Your Guide to Common Questions

We provide answers to your queries regarding our services and healthcare solutions available at Pearl White.

Dentistry is the treatment and prevention of disorders and diseases of a patient’s teeth, gums, mouth, and jaw. Dentistry performed properly is necessary for complete oral health and it has a significant impact on the health of a patient’s entire body.

Yes, regular dental cleanings are absolutely necessary! Even with daily brushing and flossing, plaque and tartar can build up in hard-to-reach areas. Professional cleanings help prevent cavities, gum disease, and bad breath while keeping your teeth bright and healthy. Routine visits also allow your dentist to detect early signs of dental issues before they become serious or costly to treat.

Yes — it’s important to see your dentist regularly even if your teeth feel fine! Many dental issues, like cavities or gum disease, develop silently without pain or visible signs at first. Regular checkups help detect and prevent problems early, keeping your smile healthy and saving you from costly treatments later. At Pearl White LLC, your oral health and comfort come first. Our professional team provides gentle cleanings, thorough exams, and advanced treatments to maintain a bright, healthy smile.

At Lombardo & Cho Dentistry, an appointment will include a full oral examination, oral cancer exam, professional X-rays to catch cavities, and a full cleaning by our amazing hygienists. Your cleaning will remove tartar, debris, and plaque from your mouth.

Whether you need routine care, whitening, implants, or restorations, Pearl White deliver personalized dental solutions in a relaxing, modern environment.

Professionals throughout the dental industry as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) agree that a child’s first dental appointment should happen as early as six months of age. This is when the first baby teeth usually begin to show. Pearl White team will be able to assess the health of your child’s first few teeth and make recommendations for things like navigating teething periods, reducing the risk of decay, and good cleaning techniques.

Pearl White recommends at least every three months. If you’re using an electronic toothbrush, make sure to check the recommendation for the type of toothbrush because you may not have to change the head of the brush as often. Other factors like gum disease might require changing toothbrushes more often. Also, after brushing, it’s very important to wash and rinse your brush out with hot water, then store it upright somewhere it can dry between uses. This will kill germs and bacteria and keep your toothbrush clean.
